Native plants are becoming an increasingly popular choice for homeowners, gardeners, and landscapers throughout the Ozarks—and for good reason.
Native plants are adapted to our region's climate and growing conditions, making them valuable additions to landscapes of all sizes. Many provide seasonal interest, support pollinators and wildlife, and thrive with minimal intervention once established.

At Carson's Nurseries, we've recently expanded our native plant offerings with dedicated native plant sections throughout the nursery. You'll find our largest selection just outside the Retail Shop near the Shade Perennials area, along with additional native plant displays throughout the property.
Throughout the summer, we'll be highlighting a different native plant each weekend in our new Native Plant Spotlight series. We'll share information about growing conditions, landscape uses, seasonal interest, and why our team recommends each selection.

Whether you're creating a pollinator garden, adding native grasses to your landscape, or simply looking for plants that perform well in southwest Missouri, we hope this series helps you discover something new.
Stop by the nursery and explore our growing native plant collection, and be sure to check back each weekend for a new Native Plant Spotlight.
